How to Split a Payment Between Two Cards on Amazon

• Split payments can only be done between a credit/debit card and an Amazon gift card.
• Use one payment method to buy an Amazon eGift card, then apply it to your Amazon balance.
• When you check out, click "Use balance" to apply your gift card, then pay the remaining balance using your other payment method.

Can I split Amazon payments with two cards?

You can only split payment between a credit/debit card and an Amazon gift card. While you won't be able to use two of your own cards for an Amazon purchase, you can use an existing gift card balance towards your total. A workaround for split payments with two cards is to buy an Amazon Gift Card with one of the cards. This gift card will be sent to you via email or text, and you can use it towards your purchase.

Using Split Payment

Go to your Amazon cart. You can use the Amazon app or https://www.amazon.com. If your cart is empty, you'll need to search for some products to purchase. You'll only be able to split a payment with an accepted credit or debit card and an Amazon gift card.

Click Proceed to checkout. This is the yellow button on the Cart page. You'll be taken to the Checkout page.

Select a shipping address. If you've purchased from Amazon before, this may be filled in for you automatically. Otherwise, enter or select a shipping address.

Select a payment method. If you've bought from Amazon before, you may have your card information already saved. Otherwise, enter it now.

Enter the gift card code. Use the field underneath Your available balance to enter your gift card code. If you already have an eligible gift card added, you can check the box next to Use balance.

Click Use this payment method. You can now select your shipping option and finalize your order. If you have Amazon Prime, you're eligible for free shipping. Your two payment methods will be charged accordingly.
