This article will increase the speed of any video game (counter-strike source, tf2, or any other computer game) OR application that you just want to go smoothly. This WILL work; if it doesn't, that means your computer may have a problem. For a video game, each video game has a main application, or start up. ex: steam games have hl2.exe.

Start your video game.

Ctrl + alt + delete and task manager will appear.

Click the processes tab.

If it's a game look for the main application (for example hl2.exe) and right click it.

Click 'set priority'.

Click 'high', or if it's severe click 'realtime'.

Internet browsers and other things have these same applications in processes (firefox.exe, explorer.exe) you can do the above with those, too.
