In the last decade there has been a sensational growth of social media users. We’re living in the 21st century now and nothing is the same anymore. Social media is one of the greatest changes we can think of now. We are spending a tremendous amount of time using social media in one form or another and it has become a major change in our lives. One of the most popular social media apps at the time is Instagram, where people share their interests, daily routine, follow their idols, and experiences.

Steps

Getting Onto "Close Friends"

Open the Instagram mobile app. On the mobile device, start the Instagram app by pressing on it. The app might take few seconds to launch.

Tap the Profile icon. On the bottom right corner, tap the profile icon so you can proceed to the settings.

Go to the account menu. On the top right corner, tap the three horizontal short lines. It’s an icon that will present the menu section of the account.

Tap Settings. From the menu section, press on the Settings icon located on the bottom right corner of the screen to view the app settings.

Tap Account. When in the app setting section, tap on the Account settings icon to be able to view and change several aspects on the account.

Click on Close Friends.

Creating a Close Friends List on Instagram

Tap on the Get Started pop-up. Considering that there’s no Close Friends list, the app will present a pop-up to start creating a list. Click on Get Started and think of who of your Instagram friends to add.

Press Add. A suggestion list of current Instagram friends will be presented, click on the Add icon to add users into the Close Friends list. A search box on the top of the screen is available to search for Instagram users as a quick tool.

Refresh the page. For the selected users to show on the Close Friends list, refresh the page. The added users will now move from the suggestion list to the Close Friends list.
