Open your iPhone's Settings iPhone Settings App Icon. It has a silver icon that resembles a gear.
Tap Sounds. It's next to a red icon that resembles a speaker.
Drag the "Ringers & Alerts" slider to your desired sound level. As you drag the slider, a test sound will play to demonstrate the volume level.
Turn off the toggle switch iPhone Switch Off Icon next to "Change with Buttons". This disables adjusting the volume of the ringtone and alerts using the volume buttons. To change your ringtone and alert sounds, tap the alert type in the menu below "Sounds" and then tap a sound in the list of sounds.
