Madrid: Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho will possibly have to make do without the services of star player Cristiano Ronaldo in Sunday's La Liga match away against Levante, as the attacker has an ankle knock which forced him to miss Friday's regular training session, Marca reports.
The Portugal international was on the receiving end of a number of strong tackles in his side's 1-0 Champions League victory over Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday, and his ankle needed to be stitched after the final whistle.
The injury has not fully healed as yet and prevented Ronaldo from attending training on Friday, making his participation in Sunday's match doubtful.
He is expected to undergo a late fitness test on the day of the game before the club's medical staff make a decision on whether or not he will feature against Levante.
The 26-year-old attacker has started the 2011-12 league campaign in superb fashion as he has netted four goals in two games so far.
Meanwhile, midfielder Hamit Altintop, who joined from Bayern Munich in the close season, trained for the first time with the rest of the squad while his Turkey teammate Nuri Sahin and Spain centre-back Raul Albiol remain sidelined, Real said.
