The Newcastle goalkeeper dislocated his right shoulder during the northeast derby against Sunderland.
Newcastle: Netherlands goalkeeper Tim Krul will undergo surgery next week and miss the rest of the Premier League season after dislocating his right shoulder while playing for Newcastle United in the northeast derby against Sunderland. Newcastle say Krul is expected to return to training at the end of July, in time for the start of the new season.
Krul, who was hurt after landing awkwardly as he leapt to catch the ball in the second half of the 3-0 loss on Sunday, will be unavailable for the Netherlands' friendlies against Indonesia and China in June.
Newcastle received more bad injury news on Wednesday, with defender Ryan Taylor likely to miss all of next season with a cruciate knee ligament problem that has kept him out since August.
