Serie A club Inter Milan have availed the services of Uruguayan midfielder Diego Laxalt from Defensor Sporting in order to strengthen their midfield.
Sky Sports reports the 20-year-old has signed a five year deal with the Nerazzurri following an impressive showing in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup where his country finished the the runners-up.
Laxalt has joined the likes of Ishak Belfodil and Mauro Icardi at the San Siro and would be looking to resurrect the Serie A side's fortunes after Inter slipped to an overall ninth-place last season.
Inter's shocking standing at the Serie A table had led to Walter Mazzari replacing former coach Andrea Stramaccioni.
