London: Everton beat Aston Villa 3-1 at Villa Park with goals from Steven Pienaar, Marouane Fellaini and Nikica Jelavic before half-time, while two second-half goals secured three points for Wigan Athletic against Southampton.

Villa had Ciaran Clark sent off on 58 minutes before Karim El Ahmadi scored a consolation goal for the home side.

Norwich City and Queens Park Rangers drew 1-1 at Carrow Road in a fixture that saw the two teams, who got beaten 5-0 last weekend, take each other on. Simeon Jackson put Norwich ahead on 11 minutes but Bobby Zamora pulled his side level, converting the rebound from Djibril Cisse's saved penalty.

Federico Di Santo and Arouna Kone's second-half goals got Wigan full points with a 2-0 win away at Southampton.

Earlier on Saturday, Michael Laudrup's Swansea City beat West Ham United 3-0 in a dominating display, thanks to goals from Angel Rangel, Michu and Danny Graham.
