Madrid: Spain captain Iker Casillas was present at the unveiling of the official match ball for the final of Euro 2012 in Madrid on Wednesday. The Adidas Tango 12 Finale took two years to develop and, according to its manufacturer, is the most tested ball it has ever produced.

In terms of design, it is a modern interpretation of the balls used during major international tournaments during the 1980s. However, the two host nations, Ukraine and Poland, are also represented in the graphics.

The Tango 12 Finale will now embark on a "virtual tour" through every participating nation over the next month as part of a Facebook campaign aimed at giving fans the chance to win a host of Euro 2012-related prizes, including match tickets.

Euro 2012 gets under way on June 8, with the final scheduled to take place in Kiev on July 1.
