Varun Bahl, in collaboration with R|Elan, presented a captivating fashion showcase titled Inner Bloom-Festive Edit at the Lakmé Fashion Week, held in partnership with FDCI.
The festive collection by R|Elan X Varun Bahl served as an extension of his previous couture line, seamlessly merging the enchanting beauty of nature with two decades of fashion expertise. This collection beautifully reflected Varun Bahl’s deep connection with nature, celebrating hope and rejuvenation through the universal symbol of flowers. Each creation came to life with exquisite 3-dimensional embroideries, using opulent materials from R|Elan’s versatile fabric range, and showcasing masterful craftsmanship.
The runway came alive against a lush green backdrop on the screen, and Bahl’s artistic palette introduced a diverse range of festive colors, departing from his signature style but artfully integrated into custom-woven, high-performance, and eco-friendly R-Elan fabrics.
Bahl shared, “Inner Bloom-Festive Edit is all about celebrating and bringing people together during these joyous occasions, creating a joyful atmosphere.”
Sustainability holds significant importance for Reliance Industries, and through R|Elan, they have ventured into the consumer market segment for the first time, having previously focused on industrial brands. Their collaboration with Varun Bahl was the opportunity they had been eagerly awaiting.
R|Elan’s commitment to creating products through sustainable methods, utilizing post-consumer plastic bottles, resonated well with Varun Bahl’s festive collection. The result was a graceful and appealing ensemble, aligning perfectly with the sustainability theme.
Bahl commented on the collaboration, stating, “When a designer works with new fabrics, it often presents challenges, but I encountered none here. The fall and weight of certain fabrics were ideal for the intricate embroidery work, and the fabric’s fit and drape were exquisite. I would be delighted to use it again.”
