National Testing Agency (NTA) will conclude the registration process for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2024 session today, May 19. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their application forms on the official websites at nta.ac.in or ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The last date for the submission of the application fee is tomorrow, May 20.
As per the official notice, the UGC NET June 2024 exam will be held on June 16 in the pen and paper OMR mode. Candidates will have three hours to answer a total of 150 multiple-choice and objective-type questions on both papers. There will be 50 questions in NET Paper 1, each of 100 marks. This component will assess the candidates’ understanding of general awareness, reading comprehension, reasoning, research aptitude, and teaching. Paper 2 will evaluate domain knowledge with 100 questions for 200 marks, based on the candidate’s chosen subject.
UGC NET June 2024: How to Apply?
Step 1. Visit the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
Step 2. On the homepage, locate and click on the UGC NET June 2024 application form link.
Step 3. Register by providing the necessary details.
Step 4. Complete the application form and make the required fee payment.
Step 5. Down the application form and confirmation slip. Take a printout for future reference.
UGC NET June 2024: Application Fees
The application fee for general or unreserved category candidates is Rs 1150. Those belonging to General-EWS, OBC-NCL will have to Rs 600 while SC, ST, and PwD category candidates have to pay Rs 325.
“Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or Parents/Guardians only as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number only,” reads the official notice by NTA.
This exam is held every year in June and December for candidates aspiring to be eligible for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges.
