On September 20, 2024, The Supreme Court allowed the final year LLB students to appear for the All India Bar Exam (AIBE). The All India Bar Exam will be conducted on November 24. The last date to register for this examination is October 25. Candidates can register for the bar exam from the official website: barcouncilofindia.org.
The Bar Council of India, which conducts the examination, will also give the candidates a chance to make corrections in the application form. The admit card for AIBE 2024 will be released on November 18.
Steps to Fill Out the Application Form:
Step 1: Visit the official website: barcouncilofindia.org
Step 2: Register yourself and create an applicant account.
Step 3: At the time of the registration, the candidate has to enter their Advocate Enrollment number.
Step 4: The candidate must fill in various fields in the application form, including personal, academic, and contact details.
Step 5: Upload the essential documents like photograph, signature and enrollment certificate.
Step 6: Pick the examination centre and the language.
Step 7: Submit the form and pay the application fee
Step 8: Take a printout or screenshot of the form for future reference
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have completed a three-year LLB degree or a five-year integrated LLB course from a recognised university or law college. However, there are no minimum marks required for appearing in the AIBE exam according to the BCI. There is no upper or lower age limit for appearing in the All India Bar Examination.
Passing Marks in the Bar Exam
To pass the All India Bar Exam General/OBC category candidates need to score at least 45 per cent marks. SC/ST and differently-abled candidates, need to score 40 per cent marks. All India Bar Exam is conducted in 11 languages, in which 100 questions will be asked from different topics of LLB level.
Steps to download the admit card:
Step 1: Go to the official website of AIBE 19
Step 2: Click on the Admit Card link
Step 3: Enter the AIBE 2024 registration ID and password
Step 4: Click on the submit button and the admit card will appear on the screen
Step 5: Cross-check the details on the admit card
Step 6: Download the admit card and take a printout of it for future use.
