Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore, has started a five-year integrated course MSc in Cyber Security in the Department of Computer Science and IT from this academic session i.e., 2024-25. The institute will conduct the admission on 60 seats. The students will be awarded the degree after completing the course. As per the head of the department, Dr Sanjay Tanwani, the Cyber Security course has been included in Non-CUET. Registration for admission has already started at the official website of DAVV–https://www.dauniv.ac.in/. In the era of cyber scams and unethical hacking, there is a high scope of this course. The last date to apply is June 15.
The syllabus of this course includes subjects like data privacy, data protection, online safety and online theories. The curriculum of this course will enable the student to make security-related software. Students must have passed intermediate with a minimum of 50 per cent. Physics and Maths are mandatory. The course will be divided into four semesters. The fee for the boys is Rs 92,044 and Rs 91,666 for girls.
This integrated program has been included in the list of Non-Cuet 72 courses of 23 departments offered by DAVV. Admission in all the courses included in non-CUET will be done based on merit and marks obtained in Class 12. Admission in the remaining courses of the department BCA, MBA and MTech is being done through CUET and in MSc through non-CUET.
The second round of admission to B.Ed colleges of DAVV will be completed today, May 30. The online verified admission list will come on June 9. Registration for the final round will start on June 7. It will continue till June 12. Fees will have to be deposited by June 13. While for the final round, registrations will be from June 7 to June 12.
There are a total of 7,150 seats in 69 colleges of DAVV. 70 per cent of seats were allotted in the first round. 88,000 applications were received in the first round for 59,000 seats across the state. Online verification of documents can be done from June 8 to June 13.
