The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) is inviting online applications under a recruitment process for the post of Assistant Chemist Candidates aspiring to get a job in the offered position can apply online through the official website at opsc.gov.in.
As per the official notification, the window to register for the OPSC Assistant Chemist will begin on February 12 and will be concluding the process by March 16. This recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 22 vacant posts.
OPSC Recruitment 2024: Vacancy Details
The openings in the Assistant Chemist positions are offered under the Group-B of Odisha Sub-ordinate Chemical Analysis Service Cadre under the Steel and Mines Department. The administration is offering as many as 22 total posts including 11 openings for the unreserved category candidates, 2 for the SEBC category, 4 for Scheduled Caste and 5 for the Scheduled Tribe applicants.
OPSC Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: To apply for the given posts, a candidate must have at least 2nd class postgraduate degree in Chemistry or an equivalent qualification such as Post Graduate Degree in Applied Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from any recognised university or institution.
Age limit: As per the release, the minimum age limit for applying for the vacant seats in the department is 21 years while the maximum age limit is 38 as of January 1, 2024. However, the upper age has been relaxed for the reserved category candidates.

OPSC Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
The selection of the candidates will be based on the written examination and viva voce test. The written examination will be comprised of two papers including a paper on organic and analytical chemistry, and the second paper will consist of physical and inorganic chemistry
