Jharkhand Education Project Council has appointed 7 managers to oversee the teaching and other learning activities in Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s 7 Schools of Excellence. These managers will supervise all aspects of the school’s operations with their superior communication skills, efficiency, and effectiveness in management. The school manager will be accountable to the school board and the community for administrative tasks as well as the school’s accomplishments. They will also ensure efficient communication and cooperation between teachers, parents, and students. In the next phase, managers will be appointed in the remaining 73 schools as well. These are the names of the managers appointed in the schools of excellence:
1. Shri SM Omair, TVS Chief Minister School of Excellence, Jagannathpur, Ranchi
2. Shri Sanjay Jha, District Chief Minister School of Excellence, Burmamines, Jamshedpur
3. Shri Sami Akhtar District Chief Minister School of Excellence, Dhanbad
4. Shri Anil Kumar Pandey, District Chief Minister Excellent School, Medininagar, Palamu
5. Shri Shivratna Prasad, Bariatu Girls Chief Minister’s Excellent School, Ranchi
6. Shri Subhendu Majumdar, District Chief Minister School of Excellence, Chaibasa
7. Shri Ram Pyare Singh, District Chief Minister School of Excellence, Hazaribagh
These managers will also be responsible for providing the best learning environment to the students. They will also manage the resources regarding the infrastructure and maintenance of these schools. Their duties also include looking after the finances of the educational institutions and ensuring discipline there. They will also be held responsible for the safety of both students and teachers as well. The school manager will have to take care of organising cleanliness drives, competitions, activities, school trips, excursions, etc.
As per the reports, the Azim Premji Foundation also provided a two-phase training to the headmasters of these schools. Indian Institute of Management expert teachers also imparted certain important modules to the principals of these 80 government schools. Besides education, these schools will also impart vocational courses to the students. Children will also be made well-equipped in agriculture, IT, ITES, apparel, home furnishing, and media and entertainment courses. They will also be trained in Beauty and Wellness, Multi-skilling, Electronics and Hardware, Retail and Healthcare, automotive, tourism and hospitality, and other trades.
