The renowned Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur is offering a golden opportunity for students to enrol in its e-Masters degree program tailored for working professionals, eliminating the need for a Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score. This program aims to enhance the skills of professionals and keep them abreast of the latest technologies.

Registration

Registration for IIT-Kanpur’s e-Masters is currently underway, with the deadline set for March 31. The course provides significant flexibility, including multidisciplinary modules and live interactive sessions held exclusively on weekends to accommodate employed students. Notably, no thesis is required for this course and interested individuals can apply online through the official website of IIT-Kanpur.

Eligibility

Eligibility criteria for the course stipulate that candidates must hold a three-year or four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 55 per cent marks or 5.5/10 CPI, along with at least two years of work experience.

Fees

Regarding fees, the application fee for the e-Masters degree course is Rs 1,500. Upon selection, a registration fee of Rs 40,000 is required within a week, followed by an admission fee of Rs 1,60,000. Additionally, students must pay a module fee of Rs 45,000 every three months for the 12 modules in total, amounting to Rs 5,40,000 for the entire course. The total fee for one year of the course is Rs 8,00,000.

Notably, enrollment in the e-Master degree course at IIT-Kanpur does not necessitate a GATE score. Initially, all applications will undergo review, followed by an entrance examination and subsequent interviews for selected candidates.

The e-Master course can be completed in a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years, with each module lasting between two to eight weeks. The program comprises 80 credits, with each module valued at five credits.

The course curriculum includes subjects such as Next Generation Wireless Technology, Business Finance, Public Policy, Data Science & Business Analytics, Financial Technology & Management, Cybersecurity, AI & Machine Learning, Climate Finance & Sustainability, Quantitative Finance & Risk Management and Sustainable Construction Practices & Project Management.
