The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee is all set to begin the registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. Candidates can submit the application form through the official portal, gate2025.iitr.ac.in, starting from August 24. The last day to register for GATE 2025 without a late fee is September 26 and with a late fee is October 7. GATE 2025 will be conducted from February 1 to 16, 2025
“Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or who have completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2025,” the official website read.
GATE 2025: How to Register
Step 1: Head to the official website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the GATE 2025 registration link.
Step 3: You will be redirected to a new page asking for your details.
Step 4: Fill in all the information carefully and create a User ID and Password.
Step 5: Log in to your account.
Step 6: Fill in the GATE 2025 Registration Form and upload all the required documents.
Step 7: Pay the application fee and click on Submit.
Step 8: Download the page and take a printout of it for future reference.
GATE 2025: Documents Required
Candidates applying for the GATE 2025 exam must submit the following documents:

–– Candidate’s Signature
–– Category Certificate (if applicable)
–– Certificate of Dyslexia (if applicable)
–– Valid ID proof
–– PwD certificate (if applicable)
Candidates need to note that the Photo ID should contain the name, date of birth of the candidate and a unique ID number. Students must carry the same ID at the time of examination.
GATE 2025: Application Fee
The GATE Exam 2025 fee for Females/SC/ST and PwD candidates is Rs 900 while for other candidates, including foreign nationals, the fee is Rs 1,800. Females/SC/ST and PwD candidates depositing the application fee after the due date need to pay Rs 1,400, while other applicants need to pay Rs 2,300.
GATE is an annual national-level exam for admission to postgraduate programmes in engineering, technology and architecture. It is jointly administered by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
