Following the conclusion of the first round of counselling, the University of Delhi (DU) has released a list of 6,100 vacant seats for the second round of undergraduate admissions. As many as 65,843 seats or 91.98 percent of seats have already been filled in the first round of counselling. The result of the second round of counselling will come today, August 25, 2024 at 5 pm. Moreover, the academic session for UG courses starts on August 29.
Candidates could change their college and course preferences between August 22 and 23. Students assigned seats in the second round must confirm their allotment by August 27 and the respective colleges will accept admissions by August 29. Students must pay the admission fee by August 30.
This year, the University of Delhi has introduced a new feature on the students’ dashboard, allowing them to view the information regarding the cut-offs and ranks determining seat allocation based on the candidate’s category and quota.
DU Admission 2024: Steps to check the seat allocation result
Step 1: Head to the official website of Delhi University at admission.uod.ac.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the Login tab and key in the required details.
Step 3: After logging in, look for the Seat allocation link and click on it.
Step 4: The Seat allocation list will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Download and save the seat allotment result for future reference.
Earlier this month, the University of Delhi moved up five spots in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024, to secure the sixth place nationally. DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Yogesh Singh credited the success to the university’s teachers, students, and staff.
The University will admit around 71,600 students this year across 69 colleges, departments, and centers (excluding supernumerary seats). Undergraduate admissions will be made for 1,559 programmes and college combinations. In the first round, DU allotted 97,387 seats with 52,838 seats going to girl students and 44,549 to male students. This year 2,45,287 students had registered through the DU CSAS portal.
