Bihar Board Result: CBSE, ICSE Students Joining BSEB? Around 2 Lakhs Have Taken Admission

With the completion of the Bihar Board 10th and 12th examinations 2024, students now await for the result. Meanwhile, according to reports, a large number of students from boards like CBSE and ICSE are now taking admission in Bihar Board schools. Students from other state education boards are also included among those choosing the Bihar Board.

According to the data provided by Bihar Board, it has been attracting CBSE students since the year 2018. Now about two lakh CBSE students have shifted to Bihar Board. According to the report, 47421 students in 2018, around 69460 in 2019 and 87086 students in 2020 shifted to Bihar Board. This number increased further during the Covid pandemic. In 2021, this number had increased to 100438.

The board claims that this is due to some changes made by the board. The pattern of the Bihar Board exam is similar to the pattern of many competitive exams. However, after the Covid pandemic ended, when physical classes resumed, the number of students shifting from CBSE to Bihar Board for 2022 fell to 95204.

Not only CBSE, students of 10th and 12th from other boards are also joining the Bihar Board. According to the data, 12123 students of CISCE and other state boards took admission to Bihar for the class 12 inter examination in 2018. This number increased to 16537 in 2019 and 20267 in 2020. However, in 2021, the influx of students from CISCE and other state boards to Bihar Board slowed down. In 2021, 20878 students and in 2022, 18006 students took admission to Bihar Board.

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is expected to announce the Intermediate or class 12 board examination 2024 results by the end of March. However, an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited. Students will be able to view their scorecards by visiting the official website at biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in, once released. To access their BSEB Intermediate result, candidates will need to input their roll codes and roll numbers on the login window provided. BSEB has already released the answer key.
