The Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences has released the list of qualified candidates for the Andhra Pradesh NEET UG 2024. Candidates can view the result from their official website — drysruhs.edu.in. The AP NEET UG final merit list will be out soon and will include the names of candidates, their NEET scores, ranks and other details.
Once the counselling process starts, candidates must register on the official website of Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences, drysr.uhsap.in by providing details like NEET roll number, rank, date of birth and contact information. After registration, candidates need to report to the designated verification centers with the required documents in original and three attested copies. Candidates can fill their preferred choices of courses and colleges online. There is no limit on the number of choices that can be filled. Based on the NEET score, state merit rank and the choices filled by the candidates, the seat allotment list will be published. Candidates need to report to the allocated institute to confirm their seats.
NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is an entrance examination in India for students who wish to pursue undergraduate medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) courses in government and private institutions across the country. NEET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The eligibility criteria for NEET is that the candidate should be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the year of admission. He or she must have passed their class 12 examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects. Minimum marks required vary by category like for general students it is 50 per cent whereas for OBC/SC/ST it is 40 per cent. For general PwD it is 45 per cent.
The exam pattern will be in offline mode that is in pen and paper mode. The duration of the examination is 3 hours. There will be a total of 180 questions which will all be in MCQ form. For each correct answer, the candidate will be rewarded with 4 marks whereas for every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted. The syllabus for NEET includes topics from the 11th and 12th-grade curriculum of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as prescribed by the NCERT.
