The Indian women’s team will aim to secure their eighth Asia Cup title when the latest edition of the tournament gets underway later this week.
The Women’s Asia Cup 2024 will be hosted by Sri Lanka from July 19 to July 29.
The Indian team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, will kick off their campaign with a big-ticket fixture against Pakistan. The Asian rivals have been placed in Group A along with Nepal and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The participants in Group B are hosts Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Thailand.
Each team will play three matches in the league stage and the top two teams of each group will progress to the semi-finals.
India have announced a strong squad for the tourney.
The team features some big names like Shafali Verma, Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues who was the leading run-scorer in the last Asia Cup tournament.
