Royal Challengers Bangalore pulled off a roaring start to the ongoing season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). The Smriti Mandhana-led side kicked off the campaign with two consecutive victories. They, however, failed to continue the momentum in the next two games. Following back-to-back defeats against Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, RCB are currently reeling at the second-last spot in the WPL standings. They will be desperate to bounce back in the upcoming clash against UP Warriorz. The match will be hosted at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on March 5.
UP Warriorz are going into the game on the back of two successive wins. After losing the opening two matches to RCB and Delhi Capitals, the UP-based franchise bounced back well in the following matches, getting the better of Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants respectively. Grace Harris was the top performer for UP Warriorz in the last game. They were chasing a target of 143 runs when Harris slammed an unbeaten 60 off just 33 deliveries. RCB, on the other hand, endured a seven-wicket defeat in their previous match against Mumbai Indians.
