'Our Lucky Charm': Fans React to Rinku Singh Celebrating India's Historic T20 World Cup 2024 Win Over Pakistan

Rinku Singh was spotted celebrating alongside Avesh Khan and Khaleel Ahmed as India recorded a nail-biting T20 World Cup victory against Pakistan on Sunday. Rinku, Avesh and Khaleel are part of the reserves for team India. The trio were overjoyed to see India win as they danced and clapped together from the stands. In the video, Rinku Singh could be seen sporting loose fits, including a white round neck and a pair of black jeans. Avesh Khan wore a cream-coloured shirt whereas Khaleel Ahmed carried a smart over-sized shirt. Fans have now reacted to the post with many suggesting that Rinku Singh was India’s lucky charm. One wrote, “Rinku Bhai keeps the mood light in the dugout and team hotel…you are our lucky charm and keep training too if the need arises.”

Another said the celebratory dance was the best moment during India vs Pakistan game. “Moment of the day,” he wrote.

One user added, “Rinku doing Rinku things!’

“Rinku we miss you very hard. Please BCCI do something and take Rinku in the squad,” one said.

Another agreed and added the Indian batter deserved a chance to perform at the T20 World Cup. “We want Rinku to celebrate on the field. He deserves an opportunity,” the fan said

While India did record a historic victory against their arch-rivals yesterday, June 9, Rinku’s absence was felt greatly. The Indian batter was brought to the United States as a travelling reserve alongside Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan and Khaleel Ahmed. Despite winning the IPL this year, Rinku couldn’t crack the main squad.

As for yesterday’s game, India batted first at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium but failed to impress with the willow. Stars including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav couldn’t even make it past the 15-run mark. The duo of Axar Patel and Rishabh Pant rescued some skin from the Men in Blue, helping put up a 119-run total. Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah found the most success for Pakistan, taking three wickets each. Indian bowlers kept the pressure high during their defence in the second half. A three-wicket haul from Jasprit Bumrah and another couple of scalps from Hardik Pandya curbed the last edition’s six runs shy of India’s total.

India have now won both their games in the T20 World Cup and look poised to seal a place in the Super 8. Pakistan, on the other hand, have lost both games and are on the brink of an early exit from the tournament.
