Ahead of Chennai Super Kings’ third game of the Indian Premier League where they take on Delhi Capitals at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. CSK’s batting coach, Michael Hussey made a bold prediction which will delight fans all over the world.

Speaking ahead of the game, Hussey made the bold prediction that their former skipper, MS Dhoni will be in the middle for the last over and will finish off the match with a maximum to seal their third win of the season. “My prediction is that MS Dhoni will be batting in the last over, the crowd will be roaring and he will hit a six to finish the match,” said Hussey in a video posted by IPL on X.
While the defending champions have had the perfect start to the season picking up two wins on the bounce it is the opposite for DC who will be playing their first home game in Vizag.

The side led by Rishabh Pant now sits ninth on the points table as they have lost both their games in the season so far. Their first was against the Punjab Kings while their most recent came against the Rajasthan Royals.
Hussey reckons that the home side will be eager to get their first points on the board but insists that if they can stick to their plans, they should get their third win. He said,” They’re going to be desperate and will look to play a great match. If we just focus on our game and execute our skills well, it will give us a good chance to get the result we are going after.”

CSK have been firing on all fronts with Ruturaj Gaikwad now the new skipper of the side. With the bat, it has been the pair of Rachin Ravindra and Shivam Dube who have started the season on a positive note. With the ball, Mustafizur Rahman began the season with a four-wicket haul against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru followed by two more against the Gujarat Titans. However, the five-time champions will face a new challenge as they play their first away game of the season.
Despite being undefeated in the season, CSK is yet to see the legendary MS Dhoni being involved with the bat. Since last season, the former skipper has taken a more reduced role with the bat. But he was able to deliver some quick runs in the previous edition and could be expected to do the same. But the chances to do so are slim with the impact substitute role allowing the team to play the additional batter/bowler as per the situation.
