Makers of Capture have released the poster of the film on November 12, just two days after Priyanka’s birthday.

Actress Priyanka Upendra, who is married to Kannada star Upendra, is taking on a cinematic adventure of a lifetime with her next film, Capture. This project represents an important technological achievement, in addition to having a novel concept. Claimed to be India’s first film to be shot exclusively from a closed-circuit television (CCTV), Capture is pushing the boundaries of cinematic techniques. Capture is directed by Lohith H, who is renowned for his innovative storytelling in films like Mummy and Devaki. This is his third project working with Priyanka Upendra.

The found footage genre, which was introduced to the world with the Hollywood film The Blair Witch Project, has found many takers in the Western as well as East Asian film industries. It still remains a relatively unexplored genre in Indian cinema. Capture is expected to be a breakthrough in this particular genre. The makers of Capture have released the poster of the film on November 12, just two days after Priyanka’s birthday.

The poster shows the actress’ blood stained face with an eerie and unsettling expression, surrounded by cameras all around. The poster is sure to give you chills and the movie promises to be a terrifying horror film. Priyanka’s mysterious expression and the crow perched on one of the cameras make the audience wonder about the mysteries to be unfolded in the narrative and storyline of the film.

The crew’s commitment to this experimental endeavour was demonstrated in the mere 30-day duration of the entire shooting schedule in Goa. With the film approaching its post-production stage, excitement for its big screen debut is growing.

Capture is presented by Radhika Kumaraswamy. It is co-produced by Raviraj under Sri Durgaparameshwari Productions and Shamika Enterprises. Capture is unique, not just for its ground-breaking idea, but also for having been shot entirely with a single lens, which makes it one of the few films ever to accomplish this feat.
