Abhimanyu Dassani and Mrunal Thakur are currently engrossed in the promotional activities for their upcoming family comedy-drama, Aankh Micholi. Helmed by Umesh Shukla, renowned for directing OMG: Oh My God, the film’s trailer, released last month, received accolades from both the audience and critics. This laughter-filled rollercoaster ride is set against the backdrop of an Indian wedding, delving into the uproarious antics of two mismatched families. Mrunal recently offered insights into her character in the film.

In a conversation with ANI, Mrunal intriguingly unveiled that her character, Paro, is grappling with night blindness. To secure her marriage, her family embarks on a comedic journey filled with lies, presenting the audience with a whimsical narrative. She elaborated, “What is more interesting is that every single family member has their flaws, but you won’t reject them. Instead, you must embrace their imperfections and explore how to make them work. This is Paro’s story, set against the backdrop of her endearing family, showcasing the extent they go to for her.”

Mrunal also shared that she had an enjoyable time filming scenes throughout the movie.

Abhimanyu Dassani, who portrays Mrunal’s love interest in the film, playfully remarked, “You have to watch how my character must endure the extreme lengths her family goes to.”

Apart from Mrunal Thakur and Abhimanyu Dassani, the film features a stellar ensemble cast including Sharman Joshi, Paresh Rawal, Divya Dutta, Darshan Jariwala, Abhishek Banerjee, Grusha Kapoor, and Vijay Raaz in pivotal roles. The film’s musical score is composed by the acclaimed duo Sachin and Jigar.

Aankh Micholi, scripted by Jitendra Parmar, is a production of Sony Pictures International Productions, Umesh Shukla, and Ashish Wagh’s Merry Go Round Studios. It is all set to grace theatres across India on October 27.
