ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Virat Kohli Tops Golden Bat Standings at End of Group Stage
Star Indian batsman Kohli climbed to the top of the run-getters table with his 51-run knock off 56 deliveries against the Dutch as he went past South African opener Quinton de Kock on the list.

Team India registered yet another thumping win at the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 as they romped to a 160-run win over the Netherlands at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday.

India put up a massive total of 410 runs batting first as KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer notched up tons, while Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli all registered half-centuries before bundling out the Dutch for 250 runs in 47.5 overs.

India enter the semifinals of the tournament unbeaten in their nine outings in the group stage as they take their perfect record into the game against New Zealand, scheduled to be played on the 15th of November.

Golden Bat:

Star Indian batsman Kohli climbed to the top of the run-getters table with his 51-run knock off 56 deliveries as he overtook South African opener Quinton de Kock on the list.

Kohli now has a cumulative 594 runs at the ICC showpiece, followed by de Kock, who has amassed 591 runs in 9 games.

New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra stands third on the list thanks to the 565 runs he has managed to pile on this campaign. The left-handed batsman has been an absolute revelation for the Kiwis in the tournament and will look to bank on the player for a good performance in the knockout stages.

Indian skipper Rohit, who made 61 off 54 deliveries against the Dutch took his tournament tally to 503 runs to climb to the fourth position in the standings.

Australia opener David Warner, who has accumulated 499 runs stands fifth in the list of highest run-scorers at the blue ribbon event in India.

Golden Ball:

Australian spinner Adam Zampa leads the race for the golden ball with 22 scalps in 9 games in the 50-over spectacle.

Sri Lankan pacer Dilshan Madushanka stands second on the list with 21 dismissals to his name at the event. While Pakistani pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi follows him in third with 18 wickets under his belt.

South African seamer Gerald Coetzee, who has also managed to pick up 18 wickets in the tournament comes in at fourth position, just ahead of fifth-placed compatriot Marco Jansen, who has sent 17 batsmen back to the hut.
