Royal Enfield announced the Himalayan 450 price at Motoverse in November 2023. As the prices were introductory, they were only valid until December 31, 2023.
As per the latest updates by HT Auto, Royal Enfield has now revealed the new Himalayan 450 prices. The Kaza Brown colour scheme has seen a Rs 16,000 price increase, while the Slate Blue and Red colour schemes have seen a Rs 15,000 price increase. Meanwhile, the Hanle Black and Kamet White have seen a Rs 14,000 price increase.
New prices for the Hanle Black are Rs 2.98 lakh, while the Kaza Brown, Slate Blue and Red, and Kamet White are Rs 2.85 lakh, Rs 2.89 lakh, and Rs 2.93 lakh, respectively. Each and every price is ex-showroom. With the BMW G310GS, KTM 390 Adventure, and the soon-to-be Hero XPulse 400, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will still be in competition.

It is the new Sherpa 450 engine that powers the Himalayan 450. It is a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 452 cc engine. This is Royal Enfield’s first attempt at producing a liquid-cooled engine. It is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch, and it produces 40 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
In comparison to the previous model, the new Himalayan is 54 mm shorter, 55 mm longer, and 12 mm wider. At 1,510 mm, the wheelbase has also increased. As a result, the new Himalayan has become more visible on the roads.
In order to improve weight distribution, Royal Enfield lowered the fuel tank and raised the air box, which together helped the motorcycle wade through more water. Additionally, the manufacturer provides seat height adjustments. There is a possibility to raise the seat height from the standard 825 mm to 845 mm. A seat with a lower seat height will also be available as an add-on. The standard seat adjusts from 835 mm to 845 mm, while the optional low seat adjusts from 805 mm to 825 mm.
The new Royal Enfield Himalayan features a circular 4-inch full-colour TFT instrument panel with integrated media control and navigation via Google Maps. It is also equipped with smartphone connectivity, enabling access to the motorcycle’s telemetric data. In addition, a USB-C charging port is included with the console to keep electronic devices powered while in motion. The kerb weight has been reduced to 196 kg, three kilograms less than the previous model.
