Lamborghini have unveiled the latest addition to their fleet, the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster.

This is their first series-produced, open-top Lamborghini with the Superveloce tag and will be limited to just 500 units worldwide.

With its 750PS engine, the Superveloce tag brings with it 50PS over the Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster. The SV Roadster also loses 50kg in the process, giving it a weight of 1,575kg. This means that the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster has a power to weight ratio of 476PS/ton.

The naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 that makes 690Nm of torque, helps the car from 0-100kmph in 2.9 seconds and gives the roadster a top speed of over 350kmph.

The engine is mated to Lamborghini’s 7-speed ISR transmission which sends power to all four wheels through a Haldex Generation IV 4WD system.

On the handling front, the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster uses an adaptive pushrod damping system called Magneto Rheological Suspension and also Lamborghini’s dynamic steering system.

‘‘The Superveloce is the purest, most sports-oriented and fastest series production Lamborghini ever. The Roadster version represents our commitment to satisfying our passionate clients with immensely emotional driving dynamics combined with an extraordinary open air experience,’’ Stephan Winkelmann, president and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, had said during the press conference at The Quail, the California motorsport event where the car was unveiled.
