Hero Mavrick 440 To Be Launched Soon: Check Features, Design And Price
As the Mavrick 440 enters the market, it will compete against popular cruisers like the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda CB350, and Harley-Davidson X440.

The world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturing company, Hero MotoCorp, prepares to unveil its latest creation, the Hero Mavrick 440, later this month.

The highly awaited motorcycle is rumoured to share its underpinnings with the Harley-Davidson X440 and has recently been spotted on the test, cloaked in heavy camouflage, as reported by Gaadiwaadi.

The Mavrick 440 is poised to bring a fresh design direction to Hero MotoCorp, aiming to distinguish itself from competitors in the market.

Design and Styling:

Despite the camouflage, the prototype showcases a distinct neo-retro styling. The circular headlamp with the signature H-shaped DRL unit and LED lights is a clear nod to Hero’s established design language.

The wide one-piece handlebar, bar-end mirrors and small tank extensions introduce an element of aggression to the overall cruiser styling.

The riding stance, leaning towards the upright side, suggests a versatile appeal that caters to a broader spectrum of riders.

Under the Hood:

Powering the Mavrick 440 is the same 440cc single-pot liquid-cooled engine found in the Harley-Davidson X440. However, Hero is expected to fine-tune the engine to match the Mavrick’s distinct character.

The X440’s engine delivers 27 bhp of maximum power and 38 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slip and assist clutch.

The motorcycle is likely to offer a similar single-pod TFT console or a semi-digital one, striking a balance between features and cost considerations.

Competition and Pricing:

As the Mavrick 440 enters the market, it is set to compete against popular cruisers like the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda CB350, and its cousin, the Harley-Davidson X440.

With Hero’s reputation for providing value for money, expectations are high for the Maverick 440’s pricing. Speculations suggest it will fall in the sub-2 lakh ex-showroom range.

Release and Delivery:

The unveiling of the Hero Maverick 440 later this month will be accompanied by the announcement of its pricing, expected to take place in February.

Following the price revelation, deliveries are anticipated to commence, allowing enthusiasts to experience the thrill of this neo-retro cruiser on Indian roads.

Meanwhile, in January 2024, another launch of the Hero Hurikan 440 is on the horizon, with an expected price range of Rs 1,80,000 to Rs 2,00,000 (all prices, ex-showroom). Positioned as Hero MotoCorp’s latest offering, the Hurikan 440 is designed to challenge the dominance of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 in the Indian motorcycle market.

Essentially, the Hurikan 440 serves as Hero MotorCorp’s interpretation of the Harley-Davidson X440, a collaborative platform developed by both Indian and American motorcycle giants.
