A woman from New York was shocked to see what appeared to be “blood splashed over her daughter’s Burger King kids’ meal” that she had purchased. On Friday, Tiffany Floyd drove her 4-year-old through a fast food drive-through and was startled to see their food soaked in crimson liquid. The kid had reportedly insisted on eating the meal without ketchup and Floyd was disappointed for what she thought was a mix-up when she looked into the meal. The mother was horrified to learn that her daughter’s fries and burger contained blood instead of what she had assumed to be ketchup.
Speaking to the New York Post, Floyd said, “All I heard was, ‘Mom, I don’t want ketchup,’ so I grabbed her bag, thinking that they messed up our order again, and I looked and there was just blood all over her hamburger, all over the wrapper. I looked inside the bag, there’s blood on her toys, everything.”
Floyd immediately contacted the establishment, claiming that Dan, the manager, informed her that a chef had wounded his hand and was bleeding.
“And that he was so sorry, and if I came back, he would refund me,” she added.
In addition, Floyd phoned the paediatrician for her daughter, who informed her that she would need to wait 30 days for her child’s blood to be examined in order to determine whether or not the child had an infectious disease.
Floyd said to the outlet that her kid wouldn’t have to get pricked if they simply had the wounded worker go get tested. The management had refused to reveal to her the identity of the employee.
She also filed a report with the Niagara County Department of Health through her local health inspector. Floyd told the news outlet that “he spoke to the same manager, who said, ‘I did have somebody cut their finger, but they didn’t think they were bleeding that bad.'”
The concerned mother then navigated to Burger King’s website to get in touch with the firm’s corporate headquarters on Friday. On Saturday afternoon, she received a response from a representative stating that the corporation would cover her daughter’s medical costs.
“We did tell Burger King that medical expenses was not enough,” Floyd told the New York Post.
She also told them that her daughter hadn’t had any food since. Floyd went on to say that she is really anxious that her daughter may require professional assistance. As per the New York Post, the business expressed its “deep upset and concern to learn of this incident.”
