A video of the interaction between the girl and the Prime Minister has been shared on social media.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday cast his vote at a polling booth in Ahmedabad in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024. When the Prime Minister stepped outside the booth, he was greeted by a sea of supporters. Among them was a visually impaired girl. A video of the interaction between the girl and PM Modi has been shared on social media. In the short clip, he is seen walking  towards her and initiating a conversation.

After their short chat, the PM went ahead with his walk. When PM Modi approached the crowd, the SPG (Special Protection Group) commandos followed him. As people clung to PM Modi’s hand, a commando stepped in to tell people to maintain their distance. However, PM Modi gestured that he was okay and the commando stepped back.

A user, on X (formerly Twitter) shared this clip and wrote, “The PM saw a visually challenged girl, went to her & talked with her. He even asked the SPG guy to relax… Such a heartwarming video.”

This clip has gathered over 4.6 lakh views so far. An X user commented, “Look at the girl and feel her happiness. A heart-touching moment.”

Another person wrote, “Acts of kindness and empathy, especially from those in positions of power, can have a profound impact.”

Someone observed the dilemma of the SPG officials who often have to step in between the Prime Minister and his fans for security reasons.

PM Modi cast his vote at the Nishan Higher Secondary School in Ahmedabad. After voting, he showed his inked finger and said, “Today is the third phase of voting. There is great importance of ‘Daan‘ in our country and in the same spirit, the countrymen should vote as much as possible. 4 rounds of voting are still ahead.”

He also shared a post on X which read, “Voted in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections! Urging everyone to do so as well and strengthen our democracy.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is contesting from Gandhinagar, a parliamentary constituency which has been a BJP bastion since 1989.
