A wedding day is special and one of the most memorable moments in a person’s life. It marks the official beginning of a new chapter, celebrating love and commitment. But this day does not always go as planned. Though it is the day for a bride and groom to celebrate their love with their close ones, it could also turn into a nightmare when some bizarre incident takes place during wedding ceremonies. Like in this wedding, where these guests turned the entire celebration into a ‘disaster’ as they broke out an ugly ‘chair war’ at the wedding.
The video of the same was captured on camera and is doing the rounds on the internet, leaving viewers shocked and ROFLing at the same time. The incident occurred at a wedding in Aligarh when guests turned violent and started hurling chairs at each other. The reason behind the fight has not been confirmed yet, but the internet was quick to guess that the shortage of food might be the reason.
The video was posted on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on February 12 with a caption in Hindi, which roughly translated to, “Chair war in Aligarh wedding.”

Soon after the video was shared online, it caused a stir on the internet, pulling more than 11,000 views from people. Social media users were quick to chime into the comment section and guess the possible reasons for the crowd’s behaviour. Some highlighted the potential risks that this fight would have resulted in and others believed that the possible reason for this fight might be a ‘food shortage.’
An X user commented, “Well, after the Chaat War of Baghpat, something new came into the market.”

“People had expressed their displeasure for Imarti, the Rabri given along with it was smelling,” said another.

“Reminds me of The Great #BattleOfBaghpath,” an account remarked.

Others raised concerns that such fights may result in serious injury, with one commenting, “Why do people act like this in gatherings? Someone may have ended up in the hospital.”
“This is just too much. They are fighting like animals, with no regard to the fact that attacking with chairs can lead to something very serious,” added another.
“Why are they even fighting? I don’t want to take a wild guess here, but most of the time, the reason behind such fights at weddings or other functions is mostly food. Is the same for this as well?” asked a user.
