'Superwoman': Saree-Clad Pune Bartender Juggles Bottles While Holding Baby
Reacting to the video, a user said, "India is not for beginners".

Has the possibility of meeting a real-life Wonder Woman ever crossed your mind? Even though she might not be in possession of the Sword of Athena, this woman is nonetheless formidable with her own weapons. A Pune bartender has become viral on the internet for her flair bartending talents. In a recent Instagram video, Kavita Medhar can be seen holding her child in one hand while deftly juggling bottles with the other. All this while donning a saree. She has even been seen juggling with the bottle on fire. Kavita pulls off these performing arts skills while holding her child, which is impressive.

Bartenders engage in flair bartending, sometimes referred to as bar magic, to amuse patrons by performing tricks like flipping and juggling bottles and occasionally including fire liquors to give a twist.

The video, set to the Pushpa 2 song Angaaron, has received 46 million views.

While the comments section was flooded with heart, fire and clap emojis, some users went on to call Kavita a “superwoman.”

“Wow woman, you are great,” read another comment.

Another user commented, “India is not for beginners.”

A few people, meanwhile, advised against doing fire stunts around a child.

A user stated, “Aag wala galat tha with the baby in hand! Should have avoided.”

Kavita was born and raised in Hubli, according to the Free Press Journal.

She was first exposed to flair bartending by her relative and current mentor, Raj Medar, after completing her B.com.

She then relocated to Pune and joined the Flair Mania Bartending Academy (FMBA). Kavita put everything on the line at FMBA to improve her skill set.

During her time at the institute, Medhar shared that she used to practice for eight to nine hours every day, starting at five in the morning, FPJ reports.

“Of course, practising with glass bottles and metal shakers means injury, but I persevered through them,” she was quoted by the news outlet.

Her efforts paid off in 2021 when she broke the world record for being the fastest female flair bartender. Kavita’s name appeared in the London World Book of Records when she performed 122 bottle flips in a minute with only one hand while juggling.
