Reddit User Claims To Be Sad Despite Winning Rs 3.2 Crore In Lottery

An unnamed man working as a corporate executive assistant is currently in the limelight after winning a lottery jackpot prize of Rs 3.20 crore. In a thread on the social media platform Reddit, this person has explained that he is not happy despite winning such a massive amount. This corporate executive assistant has claimed that though the huge cash made him financially independent but has also left him secluded. It has hampered his relationship with his loved ones and made him lose trust in them. The person wrote that he has no friends or family now because he refused to support them financially. According to him, they were very happy to ask me for money, but couldn’t be bothered to celebrate my birthday.” He added that they started claiming their rights to his money.

The corporate executive assistant revealed that winning the jackpot has also negatively affected his outlook on life. This man said that he wanted to learn activities like boxing and travelling but he could never learn them. Now, despite winning the lottery, he doesn’t spend the money to learn these activities because he has adopted a miserly approach. However, now he is happy, and keeps his lottery winnings a secret, and the truth is that now he is happy with selfish friends and family members leaving him. He also claimed that the exact number of the lottery prize has been misquoted in the media. The corporate employee added that he earns somewhere between Rs 3.76 crore to Rs 4.30 crore annually. He used some portion of his lottery amount to buy a house worth Rs 7.52 crore in the South Bay, Los Angeles. This region has a mesmerising view against the backdrop of the ocean.

This corporate employee explained that despite having abundant money to retire comfortably, he works in a 9-to-5 setup to not get bored. Sharing the story on Reddit, the employee wrote, “They have no idea why I (lottery winner) am working?”

A person asked what he does now since money wasn’t a worry.

The man replied that he prefers to keep working since remaining idle is a devil’s workshop.
