All About Laddu Mutya aka Pankha Baba

Laddu Mutya, who was specially-abled, reportedly ram away form his home to avoid getting married. He came to Karnataka’s Bagalkote in a truck. Over the next 20 years in the city, he survived on “Bhiksha” (alms) and lived a life marked by hardship. Despite his struggles, it was believed that wherever he went, prosperity followed. If he visited someone’s home, they would experience financial gains; if he stopped by a shop, the business would thrive.

This led people to believe that he possessed miraculous powers and began calling him “Laddu Mutya” – a name that became widely known as stories of his influence spread across the region.

If reports are to be believed, Laddu Mutya died in 1993, following which people built temples in his name in Bagalkote, where he was revered as a spiritual figure. The man seen in the viral reels is not actually Laddu Mutya but one of the priests from the temple dedicated to the Pankha baba.
