Rubber bands are a very essential thing found in every household. But have you ever wondered how one rubber band is made? Recently, a person shared a video from inside a rubber factory. In the video, we can see how the rubber bands are made. After watching the process, people were surprised and questioned why they were sold so cheaply if making them required so much effort. The video was widely shared on social media platforms. Let us watch the video here:

The video, posted by an Instagram user named, Salove Bhardwaj (@foodiee_sahab) explains the scenario. He is an active social media user known for posting unique videos that often create craze among netizens. From the video, it is evident that rubber band manufacturing is quite a complex and time-consuming task. Thousands of people in the country are employed in these manufacturing units who work diligently day and night. The process starts with making an incision on the trunk of the rubber tree. After making the incision a while liquid starts dripping from the tree, which is then collected in small containers.

After collecting the latex, various other items are mixed into it. Then the colours are added accordingly. The mixture is then poured from one drum to another. Then multiple rods are dipped into the mixture. The liquid sticks to the rods. Then they are left to dry. Once it gets dried, the rubber is separated from the rods and cut into small pieces using a unique machine. Then a liquid is mixed with the rubber bands to make them look shiny and left under the sun for drying.

The video went viral on Instagram garnering more than 3.4 crore views. The post was liked by over 14 lakh users. Several people commented on the video. One user commented, “The making requires such hard work but is so cheap, Strange!” while another wrote, “You have to work so hard; commendable.”
