Emirates Air Hostess Shares How Cabin Crew's T-shirts And Pyjamas Are For Passenger's Safety
Danielle Molyneux, an air hostess from Cheshire, Northwestern England shared how their outfits are designed for emergencies.

There are different types of uniforms worn by the cabin crew which can range from sarees to once-piece dresses and other outfits. The air hostesses in the Emirates airline are, however, permitted to wear pyjamas and t-shirts as well. These are required while on a break amidst their long-haul flights as it is important from the safety viewpoint of the passengers. Danielle Molyneux, an air hostess from Cheshire, Northwestern England revealed the reason behind it in a TikTok video.

Danielle said, “If an emergency should occur while the crew is on their break and they don’t have time to change into their normal uniform, they can be easily identified to customers.” They can be identified with the word CREW written on their T-shirts. Viewers appreciated the air hostesses’ outfits of the Emirates Airline when they came to know how they have been designed by keeping their safety concerns in mind. One of the viewers also questioned the fact that why don’t all the long-haul airlines don’t take this step.

Besides the guidelines of Emirates Airlines, some other points should be followed by the air hostesses as well for the outfits. They are-

Air hostesses should ensure that their uniforms are spotless and ironed properly.

They should also make sure that their shirts are properly tucked in.

The Air Hostess is not permitted to make changes to the original design of the uniform. They, however, can opt for some alterations in the fitting of their uniforms.

Tennis shoes are the most preferred in the aviation industry and should be paired with socks.

Only one ring, i.e.- usually an engagement ring on each hand for both males and females is considered acceptable.

In the case of necklaces, only short chains are considered acceptable.

Men are not allowed to wear earrings. Also, the earrings worn should not be larger than a 50-cent piece. Gold, silver, and platinum earrings are preferred, and a minimum of two earrings per ear is considered acceptable.

An Air Hostess also must make sure that company-issued wings are worn while on duty on the left side of the dress above the company’s logo.
