Delhi Woman Says Man Spat Tobacco on Her at Metro Station: 'He Wasn't Even Sorry'
Delhi woman claims a man spat tobacco on her at metro station: 'I hope no woman comes across a human like him.'

A woman from Delhi took to X to recount a distressing ordeal after she was spat on by a man at a metro station in the city. In the viral post, Rishika Gupta recounted that the man was chewing tobacco and stood behind her on the escalator when the incident occurred.

“A man like him does not deserve to be surrounded by civilians. I was on the escalator of a metro station, and he was behind me. And what he did after that was just beyond anything. He SPAT on me. He was chewing tobacco or I don’t know what, but he SPAT on me,” Gupta, who is a senior software engineer at LinkedIn, wrote alongside a picture of the man.

“I don’t even want to mention his intention of doing all this, which was very clear from the place he spat on me. I just don’t understand what these kinds of people think and how dirty someone can be. The worst part is he wasn’t even sorry for what he did. I hope no woman comes across a human like him,” he added.

Promptly, the post gained traction, prompting responses from a disgusted audience. “I hate that we as women have to go through this BS. Similar things happened to me in a crowded workshop last month and it was so disgusting. No one helped or took action, neither the police nor the hotel management, which was even more painful,” remarked one user. “This is absolutely disgusting! Really sorry this happened to you ???? I hope a police complaint has been made and action will be taken accordingly,” said another.

Additionally, Gupta provided further evidence of the incident by sharing a picture of the stains on the back of her pants. “I know I don’t need to answer every question asked here, but this is just to prove that it’s a real incident and was done intentionally. When someone wrongs you, they usually say sorry,” she stated before revealing, “He was so shameless that after I cleaned myself a bit, I threw my handkerchief at him in anger, and he kept it with him (as evident in the picture as well).”

She even claimed that everything happened in front of the metro police.
