David And Victoria Beckham Recreate Viral 'Be Honest' Meme In Uber Eats Super Bowl Ad
David and Victoria Beckham recreated their viral 'be honest' meme from their Netflix documentary Beckham. The video recreation was to announce an upcoming UberEats Super Bowl advertisement.

In the times of the internet, no one is untouched by the popularity of memes. They can be made out of anything nowadays. The relatable content and witty one-liners or catchy short videos are what generate the global appeal. In fact, former English footballer David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham also came under the radar of one such hilarious “be honest” meme video. The clip was taken from Netflix’s Beckham documentary, released in October last year. It showed David correcting his wife over a statement during an interview. Now, the couple has once again recreated the popular meme for an Uber Eats Super Bowl advertisement teaser.

The ad teaser video was dropped on X (formerly Twitter) by Victoria Beckham. It captured her talking with David Beckham about appearing in a commercial for the sporting event with the couple’s “good friend Jessica Anniston”, which in reality was actress Jennifer Aniston. The video begins with Victoria sitting on a couch wearing a white t-shirt and denim jeans. The words, “My dad had a Rolls-Royce” were emblazoned on her shirt which hinted at one popular dialogue from the past viral meme.

Victoria Beckham starts by saying, “David and I are going to be in a little commercial” but gets interrupted by her husband who peeks from behind a wall and says, “Be honest”. It is revealed that David and Victoria will feature in a “big” commercial for the hockey bowl game. After David pushes her to divulge further details about the upcoming ad, Victoria reveals that Jessica Anniston will star in it too. David can be heard proclaiming, “We love Jessica.” The video concludes with a message from Uber Eats that reads, “Whatever you forget this Sunday, remember UberEats.”

The hilarious video sparked a flurry of reactions from X-users. “That was my favourite part of the documentary. You guys are funny,” noted one individual. “Beckham, hockey, and Jennifer Aniston? Now that’s a hat trick I can’t wait to see,” quipped another. “This is brilliant! And I need that shirt!” commented a third user.

The ad recreation originated when Victoria Beckham in the documentary confessed that she and David Beckham belonged to “working-class families”. Objecting to the statement, David urged his wife to “be honest” until Victoria finally disclosed that her father drove a Rolls Royce in the 80s. Their hilarious argument became the talk of the town.
