Mayank from Haryana created history by becoming the first junior contestant to win Rs 1 Crore. Haryana’s CM Manohar Lal also congratulated him.

Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, stands as one of the most popular quiz shows on Indian television. The ongoing season, which commenced in August, recently featured a special Junior’s Week. Among the contestants, Mayank from Mahendragarh, Haryana, created history by becoming the youngest person ever to win Rs 1 crore on the show. At the age of 14, Mayank not only brought immense pride to his parents but also garnered admiration from the megastar host for showcasing remarkable knowledge at such a young age.

Mayank also attempted the Rs 7 crore question on Kaun Banega Crorepati. Following his extraordinary win, Mayank expressed, “I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to display my knowledge on ‘KBC Juniors Week’ and play the game opposite Amitabh Sir, who motivated me throughout. To be the youngest contestant to win such a huge amount is a moment of pride for me and my family.”

On the show, Mayank also expressed his family’s admiration for Amitabh Bachchan and their love for the show. The 14-year-old, currently an 8th-grade student, extended gratitude to his parents for their unwavering support and guidance.

Amitabh Bachchan was amazed by Mayank’s talent and inquired from his father about how the young contestant acquired such extensive knowledge at such a tender age. In response, Mayank’s father revealed that his son’s thirst for knowledge extends to his school life as well. He shared that Mayank’s teachers are sometimes irritated because he consistently seeks information about the next day’s courses in advance.

Haryana’s Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, took to Twitter to share a clip from the show featuring Mayank, congratulating him on his remarkable achievement. In his tweet, the Chief Minister mentioned that he spoke with Mayank’s father over the phone and extended his best wishes for the young contestant’s bright future. The public acknowledgement from a state leader adds an extra layer of recognition to Mayank’s accomplishment on the national stage.

Haryana’s Chief Minister Manohar Lal also uploaded a clip from the show featuring Mayank on X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate him on the achievement. He stated that he spoke with the contestant’s father over the phone and wished for a bright future for the boy.
