New Delhi: Samsung is packing several Boeing 747s with its latest Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones ahead of their launch in the US.

Although the official consumer rollout in the US is scheduled for April 10, T-Mobile pre-orders started shipping last week. The latest smartphones were unveiled at this month's Mobile World Congress 2015.

A report in Mashable noted that Apple has used this move with previous phone launches and a similar take might help Samsung gain more customers who could grab the phones from carriers, online and offline retailers.

The Galaxy S6 has a flat display, while the Galaxy S6 Edge has a dual-curved display that wraps around both the left and right sides.

Both the phones have been launched in India for a price of 49,900 and Rs 58,900 respectively.
