Traditionally, Apple's new iPhone release in the month of September every year. Highlight of this year, the headphone jack-less iPhone 7, is expected to be launched on 7th of the month.
While the predecessors lacked any significant design change, other than the inclusion of 3D Touch in the iPhone 6s, the latest model is widely speculated to ditch the standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
Instead of the traditional port, the iPhone 7 could come with a Type-C port for both charging and audio. It could also be slimmer than the iPhone 6s.
The purported device is further expected to feature a quad HD or 4K display and continue with the 3D Touch technology where the home button too with have pressure sensors. Rumours also hint at the use of a new hexa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and support for wireless charging.

The next iPhone is also expected to come with what is called as a Dual Lens camera - a feature similar to the recently launched Huawei P9 that features a 12 megapixel sensor co-engineered by Leica. The one on the Apple iPhone is also likely to come with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).
According to a report on Bloomberg, the company is also expected to introduce a revamped MacBook Pro laptop for the first time in over four years. However, it won't be released at the same event as the iPhone 7.
While there is no official word yet, it is expected that the pre-orders will start from September 9 with first shipping beginning September 16. The Indian debut of the iPhone 7 is likely to take place on October 10.
