Countdown For Release Of Mohanlal’s Malaikottai Vaaliban Begins, Film Crosses Rs 1 crore In Bookings
Manikanda Rajan, Sonalee Kulkarni, Andrea Ravera, Hareesh Peradi, and Danish Sait play the lead roles in the film.

Following the success of his blockbuster Neru and a memorable cameo in the Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer, Mohanlal is back with Malaikottai Vaaliban. The historical action film, helmed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, is scheduled to debut in theatres on January 25. The film is two hours and thirty-five minutes long, and its censorship procedures have already been completed. Now that less than 100 hours are left for the film’s release, excitement is at its peak and fans of Mohanlal are waiting with bated breath.

Both domestically and internationally, advance bookings have started off strongly. Excellent for a Malayalam movie, the advance bookings in India have surpassed one crore. Malayalam films typically don’t have a strong start, and instead rely on word-of-mouth and early reviews to determine its success. Mohanlal’s comeback with Neru and the excellent trailer are two elements that are contributing to the film’s significant progress in advance bookings.

Manikanda Rajan, Sonalee Kulkarni, Andrea Ravera, Hareesh Peradi, Danish Sait, and others play leads in the film. The film, which was financed by John and Mary Creative in association with Max Labs and Century Films, has music composed by Prashant Pillai.

The film, which has a storyline by PS Rafeeque, was primarily shot in Rajasthan, Pondicherry, and Chennai, and it was completed early last year. The crew revealed the first image of Mohanlal’s Sikh wrestler character in the film along with the movie’s release date being revealed in September 2023.

The highly awaited film Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, is also slated to release on January 25, the same day as Malaikottai Vaaliban opens in theatres across the globe. With the exception of 2018: Everyone Is A Hero, none of the major Malayalam films from the previous year were able to withstand competition from Bollywood blockbusters like Jawan and Pathaan, which ultimately outperformed the majority of Malayalam films starring superstars of the Industry at the box office.
