Stung Khurana joins Uma's gang
Former Delhi chief minister Madanlal Khurana on Monday joined Uma Bharti's Bhartiya Jan Shakti.

New Delhi: Times may have changed for the fiery sanyasin, but good luck continues to come Uma Bharti’s way.

Stung by BJP's cold shouldering, former Delhi chief minister Madanlal Khurana on Monday joined Uma Bharti's Bhartiya Jan Shakti (BJS) as its acting president.

Khurana – who was not in the good books of the BJP brass – pledged in Bharti’s presence that would “continue to lead the rest of his life with the ideals of the Sangh and the BJP”.

Accusing " some BJP leaders" of spreading "distorted news" against him and Bharti, Khurana said the party BJP was in the "grip of conspirators".

Bharti said her party would contest the elections in Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and the polls for the Municipal Corportation of Delhi.

Khurana said he would campaign for the BJS candidates in the states going to polls next month.

On his visit to the residence of the Leader of the Opposition L K Advani, Khurana claimed that he had gone there to wish him on the occasion of Deepawali.

Bharti said a section of the BJP leaders spreading stories about their return to the party. "But you (BJP leaders) have to learn to live without us," she said.
