New Delhi: Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti has stirred up another controversy as he conducted a midnight raid on a store on January 11. The CCTV footage from a 24X7 store in Saket showed the Law Minister conducting a mindight raid on the shop.

Bharti reportedly got into an altercation with the store's attendants when they were unable to produce the establishment license on the spot. The manager said the license was with the store's owner and would be produced the next day.

Two police constables tried intervening but to no effect. Police have now filed a report on the issue.

Last week, Bharti was at the centre of a row with the Delhi Police as he conducted a midnight raid in Khirki village. Bharti accused the police of defying his orders to arrest Ugandan women whom he accused of being involved in prostitution and drug trafficking.

The row has now taken such an extreme turn that the Kejriwal government is protesting against the Central government and Delhi Police in the heart of the national capital. Kejriwal is demanding the suspension of the police officers and bringing the police under the Delhi government. He has also threatened to go for an indefinite protest if demands are not met.
