Just a day after his expulsion from the Arvind Kejriwal Council of Ministers, AAP MLA Asim Ahmed Khan came out all guns blazing. Denying all the charges against him, Khan launched salvos at his party leadership saying he is a victim of AAP's internal politics.
Khan on Saturday launched a barrage of counter allegations saying the other voice in the sting operation CD is that of Delhi government's Minority Finance Commission chief Shakil Malik.
He said he is receiving threat calls because he chose to expose corruption in the party and told media that he will reveal more evidence soon.
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be meeting party MLAs on Sunday to warn them against corruption.
Kejriwal said the MLAs will be reminded of the background of the party, its ideology and how it rose from an anti-corruption movement. He will also send a stern message at the meeting that those erring will not be spared.
"Meeting all MLAs, with families, tomorrow evening. To remind them why we came in politics. To warn them that Asim Khan episode should not happen again," Kejriwal tweeted.
The Chief Minister on Friday sacked Khan, who was the food and civil supplies minister, on charges of corruption on live TV. An audio tape was played out by the Chief Minister in a hurriedly called press conference in which Khan was heard allegedly seeking Rs 6 lakh from a builder.
After sacking Khan, Kejriwal challenged the Bharatiya Janata Party to act against Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his Rajasthan counterpart Vasundhara Raje.
