Punjab minister inserts Jaitley's name in a hymn, sparks a row
The Congress has demanded that Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia be banned from campaigning in the state.

Amritsar: A row has erupted over Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia inserting BJP Amritsar candidate Arun Jaitley's name in a hymn. The Akal Takht is now considering Majithia's apology for the move.

Majithia was reported to have changed a word in the concluding part of Guru Gobind Singh's hymn and had tailored it to wish Jaitley victory in the polls. The move sparked massive protests from Sikh bodies.

The Congress has demanded that Majithia be banned from campaigning in the state.
