The CPI(M) on Tuesday refused to comment on UPA-Left presidential candidate Patil's spiritual claim.
New Delhi: The CPI(M) on Tuesday refused to comment on UPA-Left presidential candidate Pratibha Patil's claim of receiving “divine premonition”.
"We have not made a condition that the Presidential nominee has to be an atheist or non-believer," CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat said on Tuesday.
Rubbishing the reports, he said the Congress party decided on Pratibha Patil and it was not because of some baba or anything.
Patil on Monday claimed that she had spoken to a late spiritual leader from whom she got a "divine premonition" of greater responsibility coming her way.
