New Delhi: Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lal Krishna Advani is most likely to launch his Rath Yatra from Bihar, and not Gujarat this time.
According to sources, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will flag off Advani’s proposed Yatra from Chhapra on October 11.
This is being seen as an attempt to play down the renewed focus on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi after his fast and please key NDA ally Janata Dal-United.
Advani is also likely to skip his two-decade old ritual visit to Somnath Temple in Gujarat, from where he launched his famous Somnath to Ayodhya Yatra on 21 years ago.
